Project Scope
Excellence was contracted to provide Design/Build Services for aircraft hangar electrical upgrades and aircraft battery charger room upgrades at Cannon AFB, New Mexico. The upgraded battery charging room required the design and installation of a non-load bearing wall and door, upgrading the electrical system, lighting, fire protection and notification system, dedicated HVAC and fume removal system and personnel safety shower. The electrical upgrade for the hangars required adding new distribution transformers and panelboards to feed new 20A & 30A, 250V power receptacles located in the hangar bays.

Notable Accomplishments & Challenges
- Excellence was challenged to meet military standards which encompassed the Cannon AFB standards (CAFB), NFPA standards, International Building Code (IBC), International Mechanical Code (IMC), Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS), United Facilities Criteria (UFC), Air Force Instruction (AFI), Engineering Technical Letters (ETL), Air Force Design Guide and Air Force Special Operations Command Instruction (AFSOCI).
